How to Perform

  1. Adjust the seat height so the handles are level with your shoulders or slightly above.
  2. Sit back firmly against the pad and grasp the handles with a full, overhand grip.
  3. Plant your feet flat on the floor and engage your core to maintain a neutral spine.
  4. Press the handles upward until your arms are fully extended without locking your elbows.
  5. Lower the weight under control until your hands are back at the starting ear-level position.
  6. Repeat the movement for the desired number of repetitions while keeping your back against the pad.

Common Mistakes

  • Arching the lower back excessively away from the backrest.
  • Flaring the elbows out too wide instead of keeping them slightly forward.
  • Using a partial range of motion by not lowering the handles far enough.
  • Locking the elbows out aggressively at the top of the movement.
