How to Perform
- Adjust the seat height so the handles are level with your shoulders or slightly above.
- Sit back firmly against the pad and grasp the handles with a full, overhand grip.
- Plant your feet flat on the floor and engage your core to maintain a neutral spine.
- Press the handles upward until your arms are fully extended without locking your elbows.
- Lower the weight under control until your hands are back at the starting ear-level position.
- Repeat the movement for the desired number of repetitions while keeping your back against the pad.
Common Mistakes
- Arching the lower back excessively away from the backrest.
- Flaring the elbows out too wide instead of keeping them slightly forward.
