How to Foam Roll Glutes: Step-by-Step Recovery Guide
Learn the correct technique for foam rolling the gluteus muscles to reduce soreness, improve hip mobility, and enhance lower body recovery.
How to Perform
- Sit on top of the foam roller with your knees bent and feet flat on the floor.
- Place your right ankle over your left knee to open the hip and expose the underlying gluteal tissue.
- Lean slightly toward the side of the crossed leg to shift your weight onto the right glute.
- Use your left foot and hands behind you to move your body back and forth over the roller.
- Identify tender spots and hold the pressure for twenty to thirty seconds while breathing deeply.
- Switch legs and repeat the process on the left side to ensure muscular balance.
Common Mistakes
