Blaze Exercise Guide: Master the Incline Shoulder Press
Learn how to perform the Blaze shoulder press with proper form. Build stronger, more stable deltoids using our expert-led bench guide.
How to Perform
- Adjust the bench to a high incline angle of approximately 75 to 80 degrees.
- Sit firmly against the backrest with your feet planted flat on the floor to maintain a stable base.
- Position your weights at shoulder height with your palms facing forward and your elbows tucked slightly inward.
- Press the weight upward in a smooth arc until your arms are fully extended without locking the elbows.
- Pause briefly at the peak of the movement to ensure maximum muscle contraction.
- Lower the weight back to the starting position under strict control, feeling the stretch in your front deltoids.
- Maintain a neutral spine and keep your head pressed against the bench throughout the entire set.
Common Mistakes
- Arching the lower back excessively to compensate for heavy weight
- Flaring the elbows out 90 degrees which increases shoulder joint stress
- Using momentum or bouncing at the bottom of the repetition
- Failing to use the full range of motion by stopping short of the shoulders
