Learn how to perform the bodyweight biceps curl using self-resistance. A perfect arm exercise for home workouts and building mind-muscle connection.
How to Perform
- Stand tall and place the palm of your right hand against the back of your left hand near the waist.
- Engage your core and maintain a slight bend in your knees for a stable base.
- Curl your left arm upward while using your right hand to push down and provide manual resistance.
- Control the movement of both arms to ensure the left bicep is under constant tension throughout the range of motion.
- Pause for one second at the top of the movement when your left hand is near shoulder height.
- Lower your left arm back to the starting position slowly while continuing to apply resistance with your right hand.
- Complete the desired number of repetitions and then switch hand positions to train the other arm.
Common Mistakes
- Applying too little resistance with the opposing hand
