How to Perform
- Stand facing a wall or sturdy vertical surface with your hands placed flat against it at shoulder height for support.
- Step one foot back and press the heel firmly into the ground while keeping the leg completely straight.
- Keep your front knee slightly bent and your toes pointing directly forward toward the wall.
- Lean your weight forward toward the wall until you feel a deep stretch in the calf of your back leg.
- Hold this position for 30 to 60 seconds while maintaining a tall, upright posture.
- Relax the tension and switch legs to repeat the process on the opposite side.
Common Mistakes
- Lifting the back heel off the floor
