Learn the correct way to perform head tilts to relieve neck tension and improve flexibility with our expert-led, step-by-step guide.

How to Perform

  1. Sit or stand with a tall posture and draw your shoulders down and back away from your ears.
  2. Look straight ahead and keep your chin level with the floor to establish a neutral starting position.
  3. Slowly lower your right ear toward your right shoulder until you feel a mild stretch in the left side of your neck.
  4. Hold this position for a few seconds while continuing to breathe deeply through your nose.
  5. Return your head to the center position with a slow and controlled motion.
  6. Repeat the same movement on the left side by lowering your left ear toward your left shoulder.
  7. Alternate sides for the desired number of repetitions or duration.

Common Mistakes

  • Shrugging the shoulders upward to meet the ear during the tilt.
  • Rotating the chin toward the chest rather than keeping it facing forward.
