Master the Reverse EZ Bar Cable Curl with our expert guide. Learn proper form to target your brachialis and brachioradialis for better arm thickness.
How to Perform
- Attach an EZ-bar to the lower pulley of a cable machine and select a moderate weight.
- Grip the bar with an overhand, pronated grip where your palms are facing down and your thumbs are over the bar.
- Stand upright with your feet shoulder-width apart and your elbows tucked firmly against your ribs.
- Curl the bar toward your chest by flexing your elbows while keeping your wrists straight and stable.
- Squeeze the muscles at the top of the movement for one second, ensuring you do not let your elbows drift forward.
- Lower the bar slowly back to the starting position until your arms are fully extended.
- Maintain a constant tension on the cables throughout the entire range of motion.
Common Mistakes
- Using momentum or swinging the torso to lift the weight
- Allowing the elbows to flare out or move away from the body
- Cocking the wrists upward rather than keeping them in a neutral line
- Performing only partial repetitions by not fully extending the arms
