How to Perform the Dynamic Planche for Core Strength
Master the dynamic planche with our expert guide. Learn proper form, avoid common mistakes, and build elite core and shoulder stability.
How to Perform
- Start in a high plank position with your hands placed slightly wider than shoulder-width and your fingers pointed forward or slightly outward.
- Shift your body weight forward onto your toes so that your shoulders move past the line of your wrists.
- Engage your core and protract your shoulder blades by pushing through the floor to create a slight rounding in your upper back.
- Lower your hips slightly while maintaining a hollow body position to reach the planche lean depth.
- Hold the peak tension for one second before pushing back to the starting high plank position.
- Repeat the fluid rocking motion while keeping your arms locked perfectly straight throughout the entire set.
Common Mistakes
- Bending the elbows during the forward lean
- Allowing the lower back to arch or sag toward the floor
- Holding your breath which increases unnecessary internal pressure
- Retracting the shoulder blades instead of maintaining a protracted position
