How to Perform

  1. Stand upright with your feet shoulder-width apart and a dumbbell in each hand, arms fully extended at your sides.
  2. Rotate your palms so they face forward and tuck your elbows close to your torso to establish the starting position.
  3. Exhale and curl the weights toward your shoulders by contracting your biceps while keeping your upper arms stationary.
  4. Continue the movement until the dumbbells are at shoulder level and the biceps are fully contracted.
  5. Hold the peak contraction for a brief second to maximize muscle tension.
  6. Inhale and slowly lower the dumbbells back to the starting position with a controlled tempo.
  7. Ensure your arms reach full extension at the bottom of the movement before beginning the next repetition.

Common Mistakes

  • Swinging the torso to create momentum
